Senior Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Senior Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will take on responsibilities in state and federal court matters, focusing on defending financial institutions in single-plaintiff litigation and appeals. The candidate should possess experience in financial services litigation, contested foreclosure, and/or New York commercial litigation, along with strong writing and communication skills. New York Bar admission is required, and New Jersey Bar admission is a plus.

Duties:

• Defend financial institutions in state and federal court matters involving single-plaintiff litigation and appeals.
• Handle financial services litigation, contested foreclosure, and New York commercial litigation cases.
• Conduct legal research, analysis, and document review.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in financial services litigation.
• Experience in contested foreclosure and/or New York commercial litigation.
• New York Bar admission is required; New Jersey Bar admission is a plus.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active and valid New York Bar admission. New Jersey Bar admission is a plus.
