Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a range of transactional documents involving healthcare entities

  • Guide regulatory compliance with federal and state healthcare laws

  • Advise clients on Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement issues, fraud and abuse laws, and HIPAA

  • Interpret and implement changes in healthcare law and policy affecting client operations

  • Collaborate with cross-practice teams on complex legal solutions

  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and advisory opinions

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in corporate legal matters, with a preference for those involving healthcare transactions

  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and reimbursement systems

  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication abilities

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of New York
