Boston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a senior asbestos litigation counsel with 7+ years of litigation or regulatory experience. The candidate will act independently on matters involving complex issues, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal briefs, presenting witnesses, conducting cross-examination, and managing litigation-related tasks such as the development of discovery requests, production of discovery responses, and development of witness testimony. Will independently drive all assignments forward. Consistently demonstrate the ability to make recommendations and critical case decisions that are based on sound judgment, thorough legal and factual analysis, and a nuanced understanding of the client's needs and wishes. Regularly engage with and negotiate with other parties, such as litigants, complainants, business competitors, and co-defendants. Must actively delegate work, provide timely feedback, and actively train, educate, and supervise associates and paralegals assigned to work with on a weekly, if not daily, basis. Must independently comply with all administrative billing requirements and consistently meet minimum annual hours obligation. Must be working towards mastery in their field of expertise in the firm, e.g., litigation, compliance, etc. Adhere to firm policies and procedures, ensure accountability with those systems, and take the initiative in developing and implementing new systems and procedures for daily management. Must have admittance to the Bar and be in good standing in all jurisdictions. Should have experience in all stages of asbestos litigation, including trial preparation and trial and appeals (though in-court trial experience or practice of appellate law is not required). Must have mastery of the civil rules in the jurisdictions in which one practices and an expert understanding of all principles of law routinely relied upon in the firms primary practice areas.

The candidate should have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Must be able to manage cases independently and effectively prioritize and meet deadlines. Must comply with all firm administrative requirements. Able to work as a team with attorneys and other colleagues and manage junior employees is required. Superior written and oral communication skills and attention to detail are needed.
