Job Overview:
A reputable commercial litigation firm in Downtown Manhattan is seeking a mid-level Litigation Attorney with 3–5 years of experience in commercial and construction litigation. The role involves managing cases from intake through resolution with minimal supervision and includes courtroom appearances, complex motion practice, and direct client interaction. This hybrid role offers a mix of in-office and remote work following a probationary period.

Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Handle full litigation lifecycle from intake through trial or resolution

• Prepare and draft complex pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Conduct and respond to written discovery

• Take and defend depositions

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts

• Maintain detailed case records and deadlines independently

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in commercial and/or construction litigation

• Admitted to practice in New York State

• Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads with limited oversight

• Proficiency in motion practice, legal drafting, and trial preparation

• Familiarity with court procedures in New York

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the New York State Bar

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical skills

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

• Highly organized with attention to detail

• Effective time and case management abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
