Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate with 3 to 6 years of experience to support its OSHA-focused practice in Washington, DC. This role involves advising on workplace safety compliance, enforcement matters, and related litigation within a nationally recognized practice.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on OSHA and MSHA compliance and enforcement matters
  • Represent clients in workplace safety investigations and related litigation
  • Manage on-site inspections and interact with regulatory agencies
  • Handle litigation tasks including depositions, discovery, and motion practice
  • Support whistleblower defense matters and related proceedings
  • Collaborate with legal teams on case strategy and client advisement

Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in OSHA, MSHA, environmental, or whistleblower matters
  • Experience in compliance, enforcement, and related litigation
  • Litigation experience preferred, including depositions, discovery, and motions
  • Strong academic credentials and professional work ethic
  • Admission to the relevant state bar or eligibility for admission

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in the applicable jurisdiction or eligibility to obtain admission
