Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an experienced Of Counsel attorney to join its litigation practice, focusing on high-stakes pharmaceutical and medical device product liability matters. This role emphasizes leadership in Daubert and Rule 702 motion practice and offers the opportunity to shape litigation strategy, manage associate attorneys, and work directly with clients and experts. The position is full-time and hybrid, available in several major U.S. markets.

Location:

  • Washington, DC

Duties:

  • Draft and review discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda

  • Develop and execute Daubert and Rule 702 strategies

  • Supervise and mentor litigation associates

  • Collaborate with expert witnesses and clients

  • Participate in depositions and fact development

  • Contribute to overall litigation strategy and case planning

  • Maintain effective communication across legal teams and client contacts

  • Deliver high-quality, timely work product under tight deadlines

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of litigation experience

  • Prior experience in an AmLaw 100 or equivalent high-caliber litigation firm preferred

  • Significant experience with Daubert and Rule 702 motions

  • Proven background in products liability litigation

  • Experience in pharmaceutical and/or medical device matters highly desirable

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally accredited law school

  • Strong academic record from a top-tier institution

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the jurisdiction of application

  • Admission to the New York Bar is strongly encouraged

Skills:

  • Superior legal writing and analytical abilities

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and supervision capabilities
