Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly qualified Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-4 years of experience to join their team in Redwood City, CA. The ideal candidate will have specific expertise in patent and trade secrets disputes, with a strong preference for experience in inter-part review petitions. The candidate should possess a degree in an Engineering discipline, Physics, or Computer Science, along with outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Admission to the California Bar (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) is required, and admission to practice before the USPTO is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle various intellectual property litigation matters, focusing on patent and trade secrets disputes.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including document production and deposition preparation.
• Assist with the development and execution of litigation strategy.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on case management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation.
• Specific experience with patent and trade secrets disputes.
• Highly desirable experience with inter partes review petitions.
• Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science is strongly preferred.
• Outstanding academic credentials.
• Comparable law firm experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Relevant California Bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) is required.
