Job Overview

A law firm seeks a full-time Associate Attorney in St. Louis, Missouri. The role focuses on research, writing, and appeals within employment and personal injury law. The successful candidate will join a team dedicated to advocating for employee rights and individuals who have been seriously injured.

Duties

  • Research legal issues in employment and personal injury cases in Missouri and Illinois.
  • Write research memoranda for colleagues.
  • Draft legal briefs, including dispositive motion briefing and complex discovery motions.
  • Prepare jury instructions and conduct related research.
  • Write appellate briefs and argue cases on appeal.
  • Assist attorneys with oral arguments on legal and instructional issues.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate; Missouri law license (Illinois preferred but not required).
  • 5-7 years of legal experience with a focus on research and writing.
  • Outstanding writing and research skills.
  • Ability to present legal arguments, particularly on appeal.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate

Certifications

  • Missouri law license (Illinois preferred)
