Senior Executive Compensation Attorney

Job Overview

A respected law firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Executive Compensation Attorney to join its Tax and Employee Benefits practice group in Milwaukee. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with extensive experience advising employers and executives on complex executive compensation matters, particularly those related to equity compensation, nonqualified benefit plans, and transactional issues. The position involves working with a diverse client base that includes public and private companies, private equity firms, and senior-level executives.

Location

Duties

• Advise clients on the design, implementation, and compliance of executive compensation plans

• Counsel on equity incentive arrangements and nonqualified deferred compensation plans

• Provide guidance during mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions involving compensation issues

• Draft and negotiate executive compensation agreements and related documents

• Support clients with public company compensation disclosures and related regulatory matters

• Offer strategic advice on tax and governance considerations associated with executive pay

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in executive compensation law

• Experience with equity compensation and nonqualified benefit plan design

• Transactional experience involving employee benefits and compensation

• Familiarity with public company executive compensation disclosure is preferred

• Ability to manage sophisticated legal issues independently and collaboratively

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver
