Duties:

  • Conduct patent analysis and provide opinions of counsel.
  • Draft and prosecute patent applications.
  • Interact with inventors, clients, and examiners to secure patent protection.
  • Handle IPR proceedings.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in intellectual property law.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 2 years of prosecution experience at a law firm or in-house (for associate applicants).
  • Experience writing patent applications or office actions (for engineer or agent applicants).
  • A Computer Science and/or software background is strongly preferred.
  • Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Optics, Biomedical Engineering with an electrical emphasis, or Physics.
  • Graduate-level experience or an advanced technical degree is a plus.
  • Admission to the USPTO is a plus.
