Insurance Defense Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join their team in Phoenix, AZ.

Job Overview:

• Responsible for handling civil litigation cases, providing legal advice, conducting research, and negotiating settlements.
• Strong understanding of insurance defense cases and, preferably, government liability defense matters.
• Work closely with clients, develop strategies for case resolution, and represent clients in court proceedings.

Duties:

• Handle civil litigation cases, including insurance defense and government liability defense matters.
• Provide legal advice and conduct thorough research.
• Develop strategies for case resolution.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties.
• Represent clients in court proceedings.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the State Bar of Arizona.
• Experience in civil and business litigation, with a focus on insurance defense.
• Experience with governmental liability cases preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous trial experience is a plus.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the State Bar of Arizona.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of insurance defense cases and, preferably, government liability defense matters.
• Ability to provide legal advice and conduct thorough research.
• Excellent negotiation and dispute-resolution skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous trial experience is a plus.
