Tax Associate Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience specializing in tax issues concerning public finance and infrastructure finance transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal tax matters, with additional expertise in tax credits, section 501c3 organizations, financial products, and IRS audits being advantageous. The firm is looking for a highly motivated self-starter with outstanding academic credentials and exceptional communication and writing skills.

Duties:

• Provide comprehensive legal advice on tax matters related to public finance and infrastructure finance transactions.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis of federal tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and tax filings.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and clients to develop effective tax planning strategies.
• Represent clients in IRS audits and other tax-related proceedings.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for reciprocity.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience focusing on tax issues, focusing on public finance and infrastructure finance transactions.
• Proficient understanding of federal tax laws and regulations.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
