A law firm in Alexandria is seeking a Senior Tax Associate Attorney with 4+ years of legal experience in tax practice, including individual, corporate, and family tax planning, compliance, and controversy. The candidate must possess a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, an active Bar license, and prior work experience in tax advisory services. Fluency in Korean is required, along with a working knowledge of contracts, transactional, and general corporate/business law.

 

Duties:

  • Provide tax advisory services, including planning, compliance, and controversy resolution for individuals and corporations.
  • Handle tax matters related to family tax planning.
  • Work on tax compliance issues, including preparing and reviewing tax returns.
  • Represent clients in tax audits, negotiations, and controversies.
  • Advise clients on tax-efficient structures for transactions and business operations.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively in Korean with clients and team members.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys on transactional and corporate matters as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active Bar license.
  • 4+ years of legal experience in tax practice, including individual, corporate, and family tax planning, compliance, and controversy.
  • Fluency in Korean.
  • Working knowledge of contracts, transactional, and general corporate/business law.
