Litigation Attorney 

Job Overview:

A well-established law firm based in Los Angeles, CA is actively seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic team. This role is primarily remote with optional access to hybrid office facilities. The attorney will handle a diverse caseload with a focus on real estate and construction litigation, including disputes within common interest developments. The position requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with exceptional analytical, writing, and courtroom skills.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including court appearances, motion practice, and trial preparation

  • Conduct and defend depositions

  • Draft pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and discovery documents

  • Perform complex legal research and write legal briefs

  • Participate in mediations and settlement discussions

  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case updates and strategy

Requirements:

  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience

  • Previous involvement in construction defect litigation strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated success handling all phases of litigation

  • Ability to manage a busy docket independently

  • Strong professional demeanor and collaborative team attitude

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of California (mandatory)

Skills:

  • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills

  • Advanced research and analytical thinking capabilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word (including advanced formatting features)

  • Skilled in Adobe Acrobat, including PDF editing and annotation

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment
