Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Claims Attorney in New York, NY, to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury litigation and a genuine passion for advocating on behalf of clients. This role involves managing cases from inception to resolution with the support of a dedicated legal team.

Duties

  • Manage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, and case managers.
  • Document and update case files in the case management system.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including demand letters and pleadings.
  • Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and insurance adjusters.
  • Represent clients at mediations, trials, and hearings.

Requirements

  • Membership in the State Bar Association and a state license to practice law.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal injury and tort law.
  • Proficiency in computer use.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or trial work.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • J.D. degree.

Certifications

  • State Bar Association membership.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
