Litigation Attorney - Subrogation Practice

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its Subrogation Division in New York, NY. This role is ideal for a litigator who excels in managing substantial caseloads and seeks to work on complex property damage subrogation matters within a supportive remote-first structure.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of approximately one hundred active files involving property damage losses.
• Lead discovery strategy, motion practice, depositions, and mediations as primary counsel.
• Craft recovery strategies, evaluate liability and damages, and identify paths to optimal resolution.
• Coordinate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel to move each case forward efficiently.
• Prepare for and attend hearings and trials.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience.
• 20 or more depositions and 5 or more mediations as lead attorney.
• New Jersey and New York Bar licenses required.
• Experience in subrogation, plaintiff products liability, or plaintiff personal injury preferred.
• Experience using LLM platforms to generate high-quality legal documents.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
