A law firm in Vienna is currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Patent Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess outstanding academic and professional achievements, including a strong law school record, impeccable references, and proven litigation and writing skills. The candidate should have 14 years of experience in patent litigation, demonstrating expertise in district court proceedings, Federal Circuit appeals, PTAB proceedings, tech transactions, and patent-adjacent work such as antitrust and trade secret cases.
 
Duties:
• Handle patent infringement litigation cases in district court, including all phases from initial case assessment to trial.
• Manage Federal Circuit appeals and proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
• Engage in tech transactions involving patents, including licensing agreements and negotiations.
• Handle patent-adjacent work, including antitrust and trade secret cases.
• Provide legal advice and support on patent matters to clients.
 
Requirements:
• 14 years of experience in patent litigation.
• Outstanding academic achievements and law school record.
• Proven litigation and writing skills.
• Technical degree or relevant work experience preferred.
• Admission to the State Bar required.
• Patent Office registration is a plus.
 
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
 
Certifications:
• Admission to the State Bar.
• Patent Office registration (preferred).
 
Skills:
• Strong understanding of patent laws.
• Excellent litigation and writing skills.
• Ability to handle all phases of patent litigation cases.
