Personal Injury Associate Attorney

A law firm in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney to handle a variety of personal injury cases, primarily during the pre-suit phase with some litigation duties. The candidate should have 0-5 years of experience and a working knowledge of personal injury law.

Duties:

• Handle personal injury cases from intake to resolution, focusing primarily on pre-suit activities.
• Conduct thorough investigations into clients' claims, including gathering evidence, obtaining medical records, and interviewing witnesses.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates on their cases and address their concerns.
• Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing parties to reach favorable settlements for clients.
• Draft demand letters, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Assist with litigation tasks, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing for hearings.
• Represent clients at mediation sessions and settlement conferences.
• Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, case law, and regulations.
• Stay informed about developments in personal injury law and procedural rules.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar.
• 0-5 years of experience in personal injury law.
• Strong understanding of personal injury legal principles and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
