Attorney with 3-7 years of defense litigation experience

A law firm in Houston is seeking an Attorney with 3-7 years of defense litigation experience. The Attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel, representing clients in various legal proceedings, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Job Details:

• Regularly communicate with clients to establish and maintain relationships.
• Advise clients on the status of cases, arbitrations, and legal proceedings.
• Respond to and prepare discovery requests.
• Prepare legal analysis memorandums, briefings, and reports.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Respond to and prepare motions and engage in motion practice.
• Appear before the Court on behalf of clients.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, pretrial proceedings, and trials.
• Prepare post-trial motions and handle appeals if required.

Requirements:

• Must hold a Texas license.
• 3-7 years of defense litigation experience preferred.
• Good standing active member of the State Bar of Texas.
