Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a talented and experienced Corporate/Mergers and Acquisitions Associate Attorney to join their team in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in handling sophisticated transactional matters, engaging in direct client interaction, and contributing to various legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions, corporate contracts, and government contracting.

Duties:

  • Collaborate on complex transactional matters, primarily focusing on mergers and acquisitions, ensuring legal compliance and strategic alignment.
  • Conduct legal research, draft documents, and provide insightful analysis to support clients in corporate transactions.
  • Interact directly with clients to understand their objectives, address concerns, and provide legal guidance throughout the transactional process.
  • Assist in the negotiation, drafting, and review of corporate contracts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client goals.
  • Provide legal counsel on government contracting matters, staying abreast of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Possess 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate law, with a strong emphasis on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling a broad range of transactional work, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate contracts, and government contracting.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to draft and review legal documents with precision and clarity.
  • Strong research capabilities to analyze legal issues and provide comprehensive advice to clients.
  • Outstanding communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Virginia Bar is required.
  • Admission to the Maryland (MD) and District of Columbia (DC) bars is a plus.
