Associate, Commercial Bank Lending

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate to join its Commercial Bank Lending practice in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is ideal for an attorney interested in transactional practice, representing commercial banks in both taxable and tax-exempt lending transactions. The successful candidate will integrate into transactional deal teams and collaborate closely with partners and clients.

Duties

• Prepare, negotiate, and review financing documents, including credit and security agreements.
• Communicate professionally with clients and supervising attorneys.
• Manage multiple matters and tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Learn new legal topics and factual subject matters as needed.
• Work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with large working groups as part of a transaction team.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in Georgia with an active bar license or able to be admitted within the first year.
• Experience in representing lenders and/or borrowers in financial transactions preferred.
• Excellent academic record preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar license in Georgia.
