Associate Attorney needed for Chicago office

A law firm in Chicago is seeking a dedicated and motivated Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling local and national accounts, managing a litigation caseload, and contributing to trial preparation and support. The position requires admission to practice in Illinois, with a preference for secondary admission to additional states. Duties:

• Independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Review, analyze, and draft discovery requests.
• Conducted depositions and took a lead role in plaintiff and expert depositions.
• Prepare and argue motions in court.
• Investigate facts and maintain accurate time records.
• Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial.
• Attend court hearings and trials.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of litigation experience.
• Experience with motion practice and depositions.
• Superior research and writing skills.
• Excellent analytical and critical reasoning skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to practice in Illinois. (Preference given to secondary admission in specified states.)
