Associate Attorney needed for Albuquerque office

Location:

• Albuquerque, New Mexico

Duties:

• Draft, prepare, and present legal documents, research, and client communications

• Represent clients in transactions and litigation-related matters

• Conduct and facilitate client consultations

• Collaborate with opposing parties to represent and advance client interests

• Assist in brokering deals and negotiating on behalf of clients

• Provide timely legal research and delegate research tasks as needed

• Manage, proofread, and edit client materials and correspondence

• Supervise and guide the work of Legal Assistants and Law Clerks

• Maintain communication with senior attorneys regarding client matters and project status

• Support team workflow with defined expectations and regular check-ins

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• One year or less of experience working in a law firm

• Fewer than five years of legal practice overall

• Strong customer service orientation and team collaboration skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Leadership qualities and accountability for task execution

• Ability to work independently and manage uncertainty with professionalism

• Commitment to high ethical standards and confidentiality

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

• Positive attitude and adaptability in a fast-paced legal environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in the state of New Mexico

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and Adobe

• Familiarity with New Mexico legal filing software

• Effective use of general office equipment (copiers, scanners, phone systems)

• Strong drafting skills and command of English grammar and usage

• Capable of handling multiple tasks with minimal supervision

• Adept at giving and receiving constructive feedback

• Team-oriented mindset with an emphasis on maintaining a healthy workplace culture
