A law firm in San Juan, PR, is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm, and a science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology). This role entails working closely with experts, assisting in fact development and depositions, drafting various legal documents, and contributing to case strategy. Superior research, analytical, and writing skills are essential, with experience in product liability and the pharmaceutical and medical device industry considered advantageous.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with experts to develop effective case strategies.
  • Assist in fact development and deposition preparation.
  • Review, analyze, and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Participate in case strategy discussions and planning.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
  • Science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) required.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a nationally recognized law school.
  • Bar admission in Puerto Rico.
  • Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in Puerto Rico.

Skills:

  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with experts and legal teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
