A law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney for their office in Richmond, VA.

Job Overview:

• Provide legal representation to clients in workers' compensation cases, navigating the complexities of the system to ensure fair outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to manage caseload efficiently and effectively.
• Engage in legal research, document drafting, and advocacy on behalf of injured workers.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation matters, handling all aspects of claims from initial consultation to resolution.
• Conduct client interviews and gather relevant information.
• Prepare and file legal documents, including claims and appeals.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies.
• Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate or better from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Virginia.
• 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation law.
• Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and procedures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:
