A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a Plaintiff's Associate Attorney to work closely with lead counsel in a major Multi District Litigation, focusing on personal injury law.

 

Duties:

  • Manage and maintain a docket in either litigation or pending litigation
  • Responsible for all aspects of discovery, including document production, interrogatories, and requests for admission
  • Conduct motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts
  • Work on case development and strategy, including case workup and trial preparation
  • Writing experience preferred for drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Collaborate with lead counsel and other team members to achieve successful outcomes for clients
  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to ethical standards at all times
  • Demonstrate dependability, attention to detail, and exceptional follow-up capability
  • Provide regular updates and reports to lead counsel and clients as necessary

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in Texas
  • 3-5 years of practical litigation and/or trial experience in plaintiff personal injury law
  • Experience managing and maintaining a litigation docket preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Professionalism and integrity in all interactions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Texas
