Duties

• Assist in defending professionals and representing insurance companies in litigation matters

• Prepare pleadings, discovery documents, and motions

• Conduct legal research and prepare detailed reports for clients

• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as needed

• Participate in strategic planning for high-stakes litigation

• Collaborate with partners, associates, and law clerks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Manage aspects of litigation in both state and federal court systems

Requirements

• Approximately 3–4 years of litigation experience

• Basic knowledge of insurance coverage preferred, or willingness to learn

• Experience in both state and federal courts

• Ability to handle multiple deadlines and responsibilities with efficiency

• Strong client communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Illinois
