Job Overview:
An esteemed law firm is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Attorney specializing in Global Immigration and Mobility to support its growing portfolio of multinational clients. This role is ideal for a legal professional with a deep understanding of international immigration systems, strategic advisory capabilities, and experience in managing complex, cross-border matters. The position involves close collaboration with global stakeholders to develop and implement effective mobility solutions while ensuring compliance with international regulations.

Location:

  • Washington, DC

Duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of multinational client accounts focused on cross-border immigration and compliance

  • Serve as a strategic advisor on global mobility and immigration issues

  • Collaborate with in-country counsel and immigration experts to ensure effective and compliant solutions

  • Track and interpret global immigration developments and regulatory updates

  • Develop and implement immigration compliance programs and related internal policies

  • Draft and review petitions, applications, legal opinions, and compliance communications

  • Conduct training sessions and provide strategic support for client teams

  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities within client portfolios

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of legal experience in immigration law, particularly in corporate or global mobility contexts

  • Admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multinational accounts and engage with senior stakeholders

  • In-depth knowledge of international immigration frameworks (experience with US, EU, APAC, LATAM regions preferred)

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities

  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative, cross-functional team

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or international legal equivalent

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one recognized jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • High degree of cultural competency and global awareness

  • Multilingual proficiency or significant international experience is a plus

  • Familiarity with immigration compliance software or global mobility platforms preferred
