Job Overview:

A well-established Am Law 200 national law firm is seeking a skilled Immigration Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join its dynamic and collaborative Immigration Practice. This opportunity is ideal for legal professionals passionate about business immigration and eager to grow within a reputable labor and employment practice.

Location:

  • Washington, D.C.

Duties:

  • Handle a range of employment-based immigration matters

  • Prepare and process:

    • PERM labor certification applications

    • H-1B visa petitions

    • L-1 intracompany transferee petitions

  • Collaborate with clients on case strategy and timelines

  • Maintain compliance with all relevant immigration regulations and policies

  • Draft immigration documents, review filings, and oversee support staff work

  • Work closely with attorneys across multiple offices in a hybrid environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business immigration law

  • Proven expertise in PERM, H-1B, and L-1 visa processes

  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and legal excellence

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Strong writing, research, and communication skills

  • Excellent academic credentials

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Organizational skills to manage a high-volume practice efficiently
