Job Overview

A distinguished law firm is seeking a Managing or Senior Associate with 4–7 years of experience in private fund formation to join its nationally recognized fund formation practice. This role offers the opportunity to counsel some of the most active and innovative venture capital and growth equity fund managers across the U.S. The position is suited for a motivated legal professional who is passionate about fund structuring and regulatory advisory in the innovation and emerging companies space.

Location

  • Seattle, WA

Duties

  • Provide legal counsel on the formation and operation of private investment funds

  • Advise venture capital and growth equity fund sponsors on structuring, regulatory compliance, and capital deployment

  • Represent clients across the full fund lifecycle, including emerging managers and multi-billion dollar AUM firms

  • Collaborate with attorneys focused on technology companies and venture finance matters

  • Manage complex fund-related transactions and investor negotiations

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of relevant experience in private fund formation and investment management

  • Demonstrated background in representing venture capital and/or growth equity funds

  • Ability to manage multiple client needs in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong academic record from an accredited law school

  • Excellent interpersonal, drafting, and project management skills

  • Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction of intended practice

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing of the state bar in the relevant jurisdiction
