A law firm in New York City, NY, is actively seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with 2 to 5 years of experience specializing in insurance coverage. This position entails handling complex legal issues related to insurance claims, conducting detailed legal research, and effectively representing clients in various legal settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills, be adept at legal writing, and be committed to providing exceptional client service.

Job Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive file reviews and perform legal analysis on insurance claims and related causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial legal documents, including briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Fulfill the requirement of 1950 billable hours annually.
• Regularly represent clients in court, arbitration, and deposition settings.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests effectively and efficiently.
• Manage and collaborate with expert witnesses in preparation for trial.
• Engage in trial preparation and active participation in trials.
• Travel as required for client representation and case management.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of professional experience in insurance coverage; candidates with additional experience in other legal areas will be considered favorably.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admission to practice in New York; licenses in additional states are beneficial.
• Prompt and effective response to email and phone inquiries.
• Demonstrated proficiency in research, writing, and litigation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of New York.
