A law firm in Portland, OR, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with a background in plaintiff-side representation, personal injury, motor vehicle accident, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury litigation. The ideal candidate should have strong litigation experience, including trial experience, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

 

Duties:

  • Manage a case list, including handling depositions, arbitration, trials, and discovery.
  • Utilize case management software for efficient organization and tracking of cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support client cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks.
  • Represent clients in litigation proceedings and advocate for their interests.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of litigation experience, specifically in plaintiff-side representation, personal injury, motor vehicle accident, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury litigation.
  • 5+ years of trial experience.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Oregon State Bar.
  • Previous experience managing a case list.
  • Working knowledge of case management software.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to and in good standing with the Oregon State Bar.

 

Skills:
