A law firm in Lubbock, TX, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-6 years of experience in trust administration, estate tax, and trust planning. The ideal candidate should preferably be licensed in both Texas and/or New Mexico.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support in trust administration, estate tax, and trust planning matters.
  • Research, analyze, and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and court cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, and estate planning agreements.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings and negotiations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide guidance.
  • Assist senior attorneys in complex cases and projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 1-6 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on trust administration, estate tax, and trust planning.
  • Licensing in Texas and/or New Mexico is preferable.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas and/or New Mexico (preferable).

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in Texas and/or New Mexico is a plus.

Skills:
