Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in Mount Pleasant, SC. The role offers hands-on experience in all phases of civil litigation, from case inception to trial, with direct client contact. Remote or hybrid work options may be available after initial training and integration.

Duties

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of insurance coverage litigation or relevant experience.
• Licensed to practice law in North or South Carolina.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication.
• Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and independently.

Education

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent.

• Bar license in North or South Carolina.
