Job Overview:
A leading energy-focused law firm is seeking experienced Senior Oil & Gas Attorneys to support its expanding practice. This full-time, fully remote position is ideal for attorneys with a strong background in title examination and experience managing legal teams and projects. The role offers meaningful responsibility in the preparation and review of oil and gas title opinions, with an emphasis on leadership, quality, and collaboration.

Location:

  • Houston, Texas

Duties:

  • Prepare original oil and gas title opinions

  • Review and approve title opinions drafted by junior attorneys

  • Oversee projects and manage teams of attorneys and legal professionals

  • Provide training and mentorship to attorneys and/or paralegals

  • Maintain high-quality standards in document preparation and legal analysis

  • Collaborate with firm leadership to ensure effective project execution

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Texas

  • Minimum 4 years of experience managing attorneys and overseeing title opinion projects

  • Deep understanding of oil and gas title examination practices

  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver timely, accurate legal work

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, and capable of working in a team-oriented environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas

Skills:

  • Advanced legal research and title analysis

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication

  • Leadership and team management in legal environments

  • Organizational efficiency in managing multiple title projects

  • Attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines
