Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Private Equity/M&A Associate in Boston, MA. The firm is recognized for its expertise in middle market private equity buyouts and fund formation, offering a strategic and results-oriented approach to transactions.

Duties

• Represent investors, portfolio companies, and management teams in equity financings and leveraged buyouts.
• Negotiate and structure M&A transactions, including add-on acquisitions and divestitures.
• Handle recapitalizations and related deal structures.
• Provide exceptional client service to middle-market private equity funds and their portfolio companies.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of experience in equity financings, leveraged buyouts, M&A transactions, and recapitalizations.
• Excellent professional judgment and commitment to client service.
• Preference for candidates with large firm experience and recurring client team work.
• Desire to work in a top-ranked Private Equity group focused on the middle market.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.

This large Boston firm has a surprisingly good government and regulatory practice, with the added bonus that their attorneys do not have to split their work with Washington DC lawyers in the same practice.
