Workers Compensation Plaintiff Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Workers Compensation Plaintiff Attorney to autonomously manage a full caseload of Workers' Comp. cases. The successful candidate will handle all aspects of the legal process, from opening new files to participating in trials. This role requires a self-motivated professional with a strong background in Workers' Compensation cases, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

• Handle a full caseload of Workers' Comp. cases, from opening new files to creating litigation plans
• Autonomously manage a large volume of files, ensuring timely and efficient handling
• Conduct thorough reviews of incoming correspondence and medical records
• Engage in discovery processes, make court appearances, and actively participate in trials
• Maintain exceptional client interaction throughout the legal process
• Travel to various commissions, courts, and conferences as needed

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in handling Workers' Compensation cases
• 2 years of experience desired
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree

Certifications:

• Must be licensed in DC and/or VA (or able to waive in)
• Maryland license is a plus
