Job Overview: A law firm specializing in private wealth planning seeks a dynamic and experienced Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience in high-net-worth wealth planning, exceptional communication skills, and a strong understanding of estate and gift tax strategies and laws. The Associate Attorney will be crucial in managing projects, interacting with clients, and providing expert legal counsel in private wealth planning.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and support to clients in private wealth planning.
  • Develop and implement effective estate and gift tax strategies tailored to the individual needs of high-net-worth clients.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Conduct thorough research on complex legal issues related to wealth planning and tax laws.
  • Collaborate with partners and other team members to deliver high-quality legal services and solutions.
  • Maintain client relationships by providing ongoing communication and support.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in high-net-worth wealth planning.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding academic credentials, including a juris doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to and in good standing with the New York or Maryland Bar.
  • Experience managing projects and client contacts.
  • Strong knowledge of estate and gift tax strategies and laws.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to and in good standing with the New York or Maryland Bar.
  • Candidates currently enrolled in or have completed a related LL.M. program in estate planning are preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
