Duties

  • Assist in handling plaintiff personal injury cases, primarily involving auto negligence (first- and third-party claims)

  • Participate in case evaluation, legal research, and strategy development

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents

  • Communicate with clients regarding case updates, medical treatment, and legal procedures

  • Conduct depositions, attend hearings, and represent clients in court proceedings

  • Collaborate with legal staff and other attorneys to ensure timely and effective case resolution

  • Prepare cases for settlement negotiation, arbitration, or trial

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in personal injury or auto negligence law preferred

  • Strong interest in plaintiff-side litigation and injury law

  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced legal setting

  • Effective client communication and case management skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan (required)
