Litigation Of Counsel

Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Of Counsel to join their team in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will possess a science background, preferably MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology, and 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm. Superior research, analytical, and writing skills are essential, along with experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation. Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills are required for success in this role.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence promptly and efficiently.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in physical and sedentary activity, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• J.D. degree.
• 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 law firm.
• MD Bar admission.
• Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.
• A science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, or epidemiology) is required.
• Experience with product liability and/or complex commercial litigation preferred.
• Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is a plus.
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills are highly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

Education and Certifications:

• J.D. degree.
