A law firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Commercial Litigation and Product Liability Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience in corporate law, products liability, or commercial litigation. The ideal candidate must be licensed and in good standing to practice in Maryland state courts, with additional licensure in the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, or surrounding states preferred. The candidate should be self-motivated with strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

 

Duties:

  • Handle commercial litigation and product liability matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Provide advice and counsel to clients on legal matters.
  • Assist in trial preparation and participate in trials as needed.
  • Manage case files and documentation.
  • Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on case strategy and resolution.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice in Maryland state courts.
  • Additional licensure in the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, or surrounding states preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate law, products liability, or commercial litigation.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Licensed and in good standing to practice in Maryland state courts.

 

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with corporate law, products liability, or commercial litigation.
