Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience, with a focus on litigation, trade secrets, and other soft IP matters. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a track record of insightful research and analysis, and persuasive writing abilities. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required, along with admission to the Illinois, California, New York, or District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to intellectual property litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Assist with discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client communications.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation.
• Experience with trade secrets and soft IP matters preferred.
• Bachelor's degree and/or advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer science preferred.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois, California, New York, or District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing.
