A law firm in Orem is seeking a Senior Attorney II with a minimum of 5 years of law practice experience and a book of business. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of mediation and trial experience, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to market services to prospective clients. They will be responsible for managing complex legal matters, performing discovery, and actively engaging in brand expansion through various channels.

 

Duties:

  • Mediate and litigate complex legal issues with a successful track record of trial experience.
  • Research and analyze legal issues, writing memorandums, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Market personal and firm services to prospective clients through various channels.
  • Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation.
  • Conduct due diligence in all matters and manage a schedule to meet production objectives.
  • Close consultations within the firm's range of 30-50%, including outside core hours and weekends if necessary.
  • Ensure support staff are fully utilized and productive.
  • Update case management systems with accurate and complete information as required.
  • Actively engage in brand expansion through blogs, social media posts, and participation in boards and organizations.
  • Seek positive feedback from clients and encourage positive reviews.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the Bar in the State.
  • Minimum of 5 years of law practice experience with a book of business.
  • Strong mediation and trial experience.
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional legal research skills.
