A law firm in Minneapolis is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on gaming regulatory experience, preferably with experience representing clients in the tribal gaming space. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in drafting and arguing discovery motions, as well as taking and defending depositions. Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills are a must, along with strong academic credentials. The candidate should be adept in case management and ready to take the lead on cases. Admission to practice in a state is required.

 

Duties:

  • Draft and argue discovery motions related to gaming regulatory matters.
  • Take and defend depositions in gaming industry cases.
  • Manage cases efficiently and effectively, taking the lead as necessary.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to gaming industry regulations and litigation strategies.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties regarding case developments and strategy.
  • Prepare pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents related to gaming litigation matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in a state.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience representing clients in the gaming industry, preferably in a mid-size to large law firm setting.
  • Strong background in drafting and arguing discovery motions.
  • Experience taking and defending depositions.
  • Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.
  • Familiarity with gaming industry regulations and litigation trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:
