Job Title: Senior Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview:
A Houston-based law firm, known for its aggressive and results-driven approach in personal injury law, is expanding its legal team. This role offers the opportunity to spearhead a high-volume caseload within the auto accident division while also providing leadership to a dedicated team. Ideal candidates will bring deep experience in auto injury litigation, strong advocacy skills, and the ability to manage complex cases through resolution.

Duties:

  • Oversee personal injury matters from initial intake through resolution

  • Assess potential claims and advise clients on legal rights and options

  • Draft and revise legal documents, including complaints, discovery, motions, and settlement demands

  • Conduct legal research and collect relevant case material, including medical records, insurance policies, and investigative reports

  • Maintain frequent client communications and manage expectations throughout the legal process

  • Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients during mediations, depositions, and trials

  • Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings

  • Ensure all files are accurately maintained within the case management system

  • Lead a team of legal support staff, including paralegals and case managers

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7-12 years of legal practice with a concentration in auto accident personal injury litigation

  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume dockets

  • Background in client engagement and communication

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience within legal teams

  • Mediation and trial experience preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in at least one of the following states: Colorado, Indiana, Missouri, or Washington

  • Texas Bar membership is preferred

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written advocacy

  • Strong legal research and analytical reasoning

  • Ability to manage complex timelines and shifting priorities

  • Competency with case management software and Microsoft Office tools

  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication abilities
