Job Overview:
A law firm based in Orlando, FL, known for its comprehensive legal practice and collaborative environment, is seeking a driven and diligent associate attorney to join its litigation team. This opportunity is tailored for professionals with up to two years of post-bar experience who are eager to gain hands-on exposure to the practice of workers’ compensation law. The position offers robust training, immediate litigation involvement, and flexibility post-training.

Duties:

• Independently manage a caseload involving workers’ compensation claims

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses

• Develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys

• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials

• Engage with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel

• Negotiate claim resolutions and settlements

• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely case progression

• Maintain accurate case documentation and reporting

Requirements:

• Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar

• 0-2 years of relevant legal experience

• Familiarity with workers’ compensation or litigation is preferred, but not mandatory

• Interest in litigation and trial work

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Comfortable handling a dynamic caseload under supervision

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Florida Bar admission required
