Trusts and Estates Attorney

A law firm located in Woburn, MA, is actively seeking an experienced Trusts and Estates Attorney. The ideal candidate should possess a strong academic record and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. With 7-10 years of experience in estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration, the candidate should be well-versed in asset protection planning and charitable giving. This role will ideally involve working directly with high net-worth individuals and families, as well as their advisors, to develop tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies, including the transfer of closely-held business interests.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and guidance on trusts and estate matters to clients.
• Oversee estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration.
• Develop and implement strategies for asset protection planning.
• Advise on charitable giving opportunities and their implications.
• Work closely with high-net-worth individuals and families to understand their unique needs and objectives.
• Collaborate with advisors to design and execute tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies, including the transfer of closely held business interests.
• Stay updated on changes in estate and tax laws and regulations to ensure clients' interests are protected.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and bar admission in the relevant state.
• 7-10 years of experience in estate planning, tax planning, and trust and estate administration.
• Strong academic record.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in asset protection planning and charitable giving.
• Experience working directly with high-net-worth individuals and families.
• Familiarity with the transfer of closely-held business interests.
