Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong background in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm, and possess a science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology). This position requires superior research, analytical, and writing skills and experience working with experts and developing case strategies. Previous involvement in product liability and pharmaceutical and medical device industry knowledge is advantageous.

Duties:

• Collaborate with experts and legal teams to develop case strategies.
• Assist in fact development, including conducting depositions and preparing witnesses.
• Review, analyze, and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research on relevant case law and statutes.
• Participate in case strategy meetings and contribute to case development.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
• Science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) required.
• J.D. from a nationally recognized law school.
• Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications:

• Bar admission in Illinois.
