Family Law Associate Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a highly experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to work alongside a Certified Family Law Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and interest in family law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The candidate will represent clients in court, prepare legal documents, advise clients on family law matters, and negotiate settlements.

Job Details:

• Work alongside the Supervising Attorney, a Certified Family Law Specialist
• Collaborate with fellow associates and legal staff to provide exceptional service to clients
• Represent clients in court and at settlement conferences/mediations
• Prepare and draft legal documents
• Advise clients on family law matters
• Issue and respond to discovery
• Negotiate settlements for custody, visitation, property disputes, support
• Comply with civil procedures, family code, and court rules
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law

Experience:

17 years of experience exclusively in family law

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of California
