Job Overview:
A law firm based in Dallas, TX, is seeking a dedicated attorney with hands-on experience in civil litigation, particularly in personal injury, product liability, and premises liability matters. This role involves handling a diverse caseload from initial intake through resolution, including depositions, court appearances, and negotiations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong advocacy skills and a keen ability to manage complex legal challenges within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Duties:

• Evaluate legal matters involving liability, loss, and damages

• Handle client communications, billing protocols, and budgeting requirements

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents with attention to detail

• Research and analyze federal, state, and local rules of procedure

• Represent clients during court proceedings and settlement conferences

• Maintain case files and ensure timely case progression

• Collaborate with team members and support staff

• Travel occasionally for court, depositions, or client meetings

Requirements:

• Admission to the Texas State Bar

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, ideally in insurance defense.

• Solid understanding of procedural and substantive law

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Strong time management and organizational skills to meet billable hour targets

• Comfortable with client-facing responsibilities and negotiations

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• An active Texas Bar license is required

Skills:

• Exceptional legal writing and research capabilities

• Effective verbal communication and courtroom advocacy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel

• Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset

• Familiarity with litigation support tools is a plus
